World Wide KAP Week 2009 is from 24 April to 4 May (yes, longer than a week!). It's a loose and baggy internet-driven event, an excuse to get people out and shooting. The long window means there's a good chance of nice flying conditions, and the date gives me just the focus I need to get the good ship Wacky Jacqui (rig 2.1) fettled and ready to fly.
There's a few things I'd particularly like to shoot: wind farms, cathedrals and surfers. Wind farms are just great eye-candy and a camera up at rotor height would be unique. Cathedrals, well, remember the flypast shots in
The Crow? I'd love to make a photosynth of that sort of thing. And surfers - if the wind is offshore on a good day, then there should be some great action and the rig will be out at the line-out. Fortune may provide sweetness.
