Behind the walls [diy]

The Great Bathroom Project continues and lo, I have pulled off the main wallboards with a Hulk smash!  The good news for the project is that there is definitely room for a pumped waste behind the boards.  The interesting news is that there's about a foot of space behind one wall and almost a foot and a half behind another.  Plenty of room to hide a body.

So are recessed cupboards and backlit alcove goodies and embedded ant farms the absolute bomb, or are they hopeless feature creep?

Dunno- I are ant farms in again? For a while, Oliver Heath seemed convinced that worm farms were the way to go.

The worms live outside shredding my confidential documents. I'd like to see the Penguin tape worm poo back together! Ha!

Catacomb bone stacks with backlighting?

Angel fossils?

Exactly. Think Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

The clockwork mechanisms that keep the world turning?

A peek into the Hollow Earth..?

Man, I could so ruin the resale value of this place...

They can always plaster it over if they hate it.

Or, you could just conceal it with ill-fixed plasterboard before you sell it, so it can be discovered by curious children in the decades to come. That'll mess with their heads.

The child's toy I found behind the boards is already messing with mine.

See ? Imagine the power you could have over future generations.

What did you find ?

Can't you make the place 2.5 feet bigger each way?

Not easily - I'd have to move all of the plumbing, which mostly occupies the lower metre of the space. I dreamed about hydroponics and a Roman catacomb niche though...
