ID Cards: Dirty pool, old man, dirty pool

As seen on BoingBoing: They're going to twist your arm to make you apply for ID cards.  We knew this anyway, but leaky internal documents actually use the term "coercion" which really gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about our shapeshifting lizard overlords:



The irony that the coercion plans for our secure ID database have leaked is too delicious.  The end of privacy cuts both ways.

I'd like to make some pithy comment about Big Brother, but I'm an only child.

I was raised by hippies and bikers (of the vroom vroom variety). This is sort if thing is both chilling and apathetically anticipated.
