Whoopsie

200mg to start the day.  Four instant coffees, one tea.  A pint or so of gruesomely strong Guatemala Elephant.  Couple hundred mig more and then a bottle of Pepsi Max.

That'll be why I'm randomly starting fights with the world, then.

...and breathe...

Ooh

How swollen? You're still in a hospital, right? Get your piercing out and get someone to check it. FFS man. If you're going to start swelling in the ear/nose/throat area you need to get it checked ASAP!

Look, you be careful, ok? If it hasn't gone down significantly in the next half an hour, please get someone qualified to take a look at you. You might have come into contact with an unknown allergen without realising it. The lower temperature in the server room will have reduced blood flow and therefore swelling, but if you're having an allergic reaction it could start swelling again.

Down it is (still tingly though). Am avoiding more caffeine. Thanks for the concern, both of youse. :)

Glad you're not in need of medical attention, but why were you dosing yourself with that much caffeine in the first place?

ECA stack + standard IT coffee habit = fail. You may roll your eyes.

[identity profile] thudthwacker.livejournal.com 2008-07-11 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, dear, you did that *accidentally*? Oy.

[identity profile] andygates.livejournal.com 2008-07-11 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oy indeed. Not so much accidental as inadvertent. The temp was getting the Faileron fired up and it smelled so good... and I'm in a new department with a whole load of new systems to support, which is higher-stress (clinical systems, rather than office systems: people die rather than not getting paid).

Back in 97 I was chugging so much coffee that I was getting heart palpitations. I've really cut back since then. ;)
