Just did my first continuous mile in the pool.  Stoked!

But it felt shorter! I'm *sure* there were fewer strokes to get across it!

I think I know the answer to this one - the lanes were across the pool, as there was no shallow end where we were swimming but there was a shallow end where al the kids were (next to the slide)!!!

Really? So we couldn't even swim widths at that altitude? :o
