Broadband

Ah, choices choices. What's the current state of broadband, chaps? Does anyone do a package like this:

2-8 Mb speed; 10Gb/month min limit; about £15 month; wireless router thrown in ?

My current ISP, Madasafish, are being arses about moving.

Choose quick.

I've cancelled the monthly payment. We've been paying for your broadband for 2 months!

Indeed, one of the few advantages of living in a moderately-populous area is there's always some doofus who didn't both configuring his wireless cable router, and you can just surf on his connection until you get something permanent for yourself. Or until he notices, which, let's be honest, isn't very likely if he didn't bother locking down his WAP.

I am sans doof. Possibly because of my yard-thick earth walls and cunning basement location, I am sans almost all radio. Frankly. I'd leave my WAP open as a public service, 'cos I'm a big communist like that. And it seems that BT have some new offerings today so its time to compare... sigh.

I quite like not having a connection. I'm getting a hell of a lot done. Maybe I'll just get a pay-as-you-go dialup.
