I've been playing

What can you do with a set of welding goggles, a camera, a seriously bright bike light and a laser pointer?
HeadcamI got inspired.  Or bored, one or the other: but I want to film some nighttime rides, and that means a light that goes where the camera goes, maybe.  Anyway it looks 'kin cool if you ask me, though it'd look best on some delicate little wiry street kitten.  Ahem.

The static image can't do it justice.  Here's a rough video of the thing in action.  It tracks head movement very cleanly with no silliness so it ought to be peachy on the bike.

You have no idea how hard it is not to say, "I need you clothes, your boots and your motorcycle" in this thing :)

So, what are you looking through? One eye and the camera screen? Or do you have clear binocular vision?

Clear binocular vision? We don't need no steenkin' clear binocular vision!

The camera screen is a blurry wodge of light, enough to work the thing's UI and change mode but not vision. So it's monocular; there's a medium tint lens in there at the moment but being welding goggles that can be changed for a clear one for night use :)

OK, finally watched it as no Youtube at work.

1) The leather jacket on with nothing else underneath to play with this was presumably for that extra "borged up" feeling ;-)

2) What exactly are people doing "nearly up to the wrist" at Ravenbaits leaving do....?!?!?!?
