GMail

I'm on the scrounge for a GMail invite. My dear old Yahoo address is just a spamtrap these days, and GMail is supposed to be lovely with the Nokia 770...

Can do, where do you want it? Does this work:

I think I've probably got one somewhere. I'll have to check my mailbox at home.

I really must get my bloody mobile account sorted out.

Mobile Gmail

I have some issues with Gmail on mobile devices. It appears a bit quirky.

Whenever I download it to one location (e.g. my Palm), it then won't download again to another location (e.g. Outlook on the PC) despite all the "leave it on the server" check boxes you like". And vice versa. Its all still there using the webmail interface, but I have ended up with some split mailboxes. Shame really, because apart from that its brilliant. Also, the SSL connection doesn't like some clients - I can't use Gmail with my Nokia 6230i's built in mail client.

Doesn't happen with Yahoo, Tiscali or Orange - mailboxes stay in order.

Ah, but the 770 is just a web client. Mail stays up there. It's a bit like those clipboards in Star Trek. No paper magazines in the new hovel :)

Now if GMail would come up with a solid PIM..!

I have several invites left, if you still want one.
