I was mooching around looking for lanyard ideas for my sexy new multitool when I stumbled across Stormdrane's blog.  The man does some very practical and extremely pretty things with paracord.   Turk's head tastic!

Nice braids.

Check out Jacqueline Carey's (http://www.careycompany.com/) stuff too - she covers both kumihimo and non-Japanese braiding, albeit mostly in books. I nearly went all braidy on the drum handles (coachwhipping), but restrained myself.

My Ibberson knife has a sliding Monkey's Paw to make the end loop of the lanyard adjustable, but that comes as standard.
