KAP rig 1 (Poindexter) was fun but very Heath Robinson, lower-tech than it looked and used an APS film camera with all the obvious drawbacks (mostly in speed of "wow"). Now I've got a digi and l33t skilz, rig 2 (Fat Charlie) needs to be built. The design is more compact and less wobbly, but needs bits not found in the average cyclists' shed.

Where do people buy their small engineering / robotics project bits from these days?

Draw up a fondue set and sink gooeyly into this two-hour cheesefest if you really like gorging on pappy evangelical schlep. It's all here, the One World Government with a logo in UN-blue, the redemption of jezebel, silly politics, gloriously daft miracles, cheap production values, and buckets of God. Remember those comically bad cartoon tracts by Jack Chick that city-centre evangelists handed out? This is one of those, recast in DVD. There's almost a character study of the Broken And Redeemed Man in Lou Gossett Jr.'s president, but only almost. Mostly this is half cackling amusement at the cheese and wine party (wait for the wine, see if you guess it too) and half gawking amazement that anyone could take it seriously (and apparently, plenty do).

Back in student time, we'd have really bad movie nights. This is a candidate for that: a real Tuesday Night Special. Shocking drivel. And unlike Chopper Chicks In Zombietown, Sunrise or Roller Blade Warriors, a shocking inadequacy of totty with weapons.

Now there's a thought. Troma should do an antichrist flick.
