Bristol and Velodrome merriment
Oct. 4th, 2006 02:20 pmI've just been offered a fill-in slot with a bunch of C+ers who have a taster sesion booked at Newport Velodrome on Sunday. This means I've got an early "in" to my Planned Winter Folderol, that being track cycling.
It also means I've got four days to turn my fixie from its audax/offroad king of oozy trundle into a lean, mean, track racing machine - this being effected by the removal of brakes, some new handlebars, and a teeny tiny cog so I can go vewwy vewwy fast. And maybe a quick rub down and lube.

stripey_mouse and some others were glomming somewhere - the Hatchet? Mmm, vile beer and goths.
