It seems that, due to a basic failure to say "no", I'm aiming at the Triple this year: All three overnight century rides - Dumb Run, Exmouth Exodus, Dunwich Dynamo.  The Dumb Run on fixed because it's that kind of Spartan nonsense.  The Dynamo on the frakking pennyfarthing.  Dear gods, I'm so doomed.

Might spring for a new pair of super-comfy shorts.

You're an absolute loon. The Dun Run on the penny? Your arse will be toast. You'll have to get down that long, steep hill and there are all those climbs after dawn.

I'm already planning to walk down Sudbury Hill. I have fitted an old, battered B17 (thanks Chuffy) but gotta road-test it by, er, learning to ride the damn thing. I expect to get to the beach around lunchtime. :)

(With apologies to Peter Gabriel)

Riding up on Sudbury Hill,
I pushed on with all my might.
Couldn't move forward; bike stood still.
I knew I'd be here all night...

It's the down part that's problematic. It's long, it's steep, and it's a bitch even on a regular fixed.

Especially as you get to it around 03:30, so the ol' think-pudding is pretty much congealed.
