That's it, I'm officially fed up with the internet.  I'm burned out explaining how something can have a low personal risk and yet have a huge body count by dint of just affecting more people that your tribe-scale monkey brain can handle, d'ye hear?  The information is all out there and it doesn't take a bear of great brain to work it out.  So the next person who says "zomg gonna die" (srsly, I hear people planning to bug out) or "storm in a teacup" -- I'm just going to link them to goatse.

"That is disgusting!"
"So is your stupidity!"

Here endeth the grump.

On a more serious note. Feel better soon hun. Don't let the sheep frustrate you too much. They missed the ability to think rationally somewhere along the way. I try to feel sorry for them and not get angry.

The sheep are my big existential problem right now. They vote. And I'm having classic intellectual-elite angst over the thought that mooks like that, unconsidered and gormless, have anything worth saying. Of course they do, and there's stuff that I'm mookish about too, but that's more a statement of faith than an actual belief...

Heh, see my response above. But this is a specific one, not a character assassination of the masses.

Hey, you could come and do a stint on the Jeremy Kyle show. No, I really mean it. Please? Before they take me away in the nice jacket that fastens up the back. After a few of those, you'd realise what you're *really* up against.

I'm sorry, Shifty, but I'm just not that noble.

Have they had any audience members refuse their fifteen minutes of fame because of the swine flu risk yet? ;)

Hah. "I went to see the Kyle show, and all I got was this lousy Virus." I can't wait. You know audience members make their own fan T-shirts? ITV hasn't got the merchandising nouse, so the ebay fakers are making a mint.

As for the 'guests,' the team apparently turn down something like 85% of the applicants to appear, so the people who get on the show are the the cream of the crop.

Ayah... Be afeared.

It's like crisps. It's just wrong to stop at one.

Your munching has been manipulated by cynical snack-food manufacturers. Ditto dissing the masses: cynical Ayn Rand fanboys want to pump up a worldview where you are the enlightened one and *everyone* else is a douchebag. It's not true. The social response to Atlas shrugging would be "meh".
