Marathon-tastic
Dec. 28th, 2005 10:11 amEn garde, monsieur le Demi-Marathon! So begins the training runs with -ahem- a whole mile. Koff wheeze. Want to get back to the stage where the 3-4 mile loops were easy and fun quite quickly, so I can work on two things: distance (the weekend runs need to build to at least the race distance, ideally a little more) and speed (to do a half-marathon in 2:00 requires average nine-minute miles and last year I was clearly putting down ten-minute miles. But distance and pace work has a requirement of base fitness so here we go!
