Oooh. How are they managing that, then? I seem to remember your eyes being quite dark.

I keep vaguely meaning to experiment with colour-change lenses, but I can't get the hang of putting soft lenses in or taking them out again, weird slippery things.

Semi-opaque irises, at least in the outer bits, with overlai dprints of iris detail, and dark outer ring. The effect is very green on my mid-bluegrey eyes, though not as insanely green as the marketing people suggest - if I had pale eyes, it might be even less natural. The NHS dress code won't let me have red, or islver, or radhazard (such no-fun numpties!).

And yeah, they are flibbly little sods first thing in the morning. But thus armed, I can now spend all summer playing dress-up with sunglasses :)

They have the catch-all "professional and respectable" - so scaring the bejesus out of the punters - some of whom are in flaky mental health - is considered unprofessional. Sucks, huh?

Anyway I have to do induction presentations. Can you imagine telling thirty bods not to abuse their internet rights, while having Riddick-esque shine jobs? They'd giggle.

Well, if they hadn't seen the movie then they might be intimidated enough not to try to abuse the internet. Otherwise they might be more inclined to check there were no teacups in your vicinity :)
