Ping Bristol people - jumping stilts
Jun. 11th, 2008 03:55 pmI'm not using my jumping stilts and need the cash so it's toy-sale time (*cry*). They're 7-League T-Rexs - a premium brand with bearings instead of bushings, nice bindings and good springy springs in a decent bit of engineering, so they'll last and last. If anyone wants 'em, they will be in Bristol for the start of the Exmouth Exodus ride on Saturday evening. I'm after £120. Ask your circus weirdo friends!
Yes, I'm just funding my bicycle habit. :)

and whilst opening cans to see if worms are inside, I've always wondered about equal prize pots for men's and women's competitions in sport, and isn't true equality combining the competitions into one and letting them battle it out? Does a genetic difference between certain Africans from particular tribal backgrounds and the 'rest of the world' mean they should be in a different competition to everyone else? Are the rest of the world effectively 'disabled' in comparison because, ahem, their ancestors weren't cattle rustlers?
I don't have a strong opinion on this you understand, I'm just curious and feeling like throwing out some discussion points on a drab Thursday morning.
