Is it possible to rent road bikes in the Chamonix / Meribel area?  Not for me - a TT chap is going soon.

Gah... don't know. I suspect we'll find out soon enough - Bourg ain't that far from Meribel and it may well be the place to pick up road bikes if we don't just want mountain bikes.

Otherwise, Moutiers is the biggest town near Meribel (and the transfer hub for the area) so I figure there's bound to be a decent bike shop there.

Chamonix is surprisingly big too and might have something, otherwise it's probably a trip to Geneva.
