Future Olympian..?
May. 30th, 2006 11:31 amHow bizarre. I've been invited to a talent-spotting evening for the 2010/2014 Olympic skeleton bob teams. It's almost tempting. And totally surreal.
I feel as if I should say, "Sorry, can't come as the BT man is putting in my line" but there's a fat streak of "go for it" right now that's prodding me to have a bash, no matter how awful it would be.
What's the injury rate?

Hammond the Hamster managed to make it down in one piece. You've got more padding than him and are less worried about your teeth.

Date: 2006-05-30 10:46 am (UTC)...alas I just found the attached minimum standards. Too old, and just a bit too slow. I guess they don't want old gimmers shuffling down the track in four years time when I'll be almost OHMYGODS forty.
Still, it made oi smile.
