I can now hardly walk either up or down anything as my legs have done exactly what they did at Wimbleball. Only this time, there wasn't really any reason other than the fact that I wasn't quote fit enough. 1.9k, 90k, about 5-10k and I would have been in business...
Much respect, by the way to Andy who despite being sick (and probably fed right up) stayed to see me in. And then gave me a lift back to my car with my stuff. Thanks!
Well, I think it's good that you decided not to do it, it'd have been a terrible experience to race with a cold. There are plenty more races, you've done the training - that's the important bit!
6:24:01. 202nd out of about 320 and it looks like everyone struggled with the run. Unfortunately doesn't disguise that fact that I would still have done better if i had been appropriately fit for the event though, but not too bad in the end
Ugh. That sucks. Though I admire your wisdom in realizing that a DNF and two weeks laid up with the extended dance-mix lurgy would have been much, much worse.
