Impossible is nothing

Stumbled across this pic over on the C+ forum. Qi Tang, Chinese paralympian track cyclist. And yeah, that's just one leg. Bike racing? One leg? World record 500m sprint?  Like the advert says, "impossible is nothing."

Makes me feel rather feeble about sitting here wallowing in man-flu yet again, that's for sure.  But since yesterday was lactate-threshold agony with a heart-rate barely out of resting, I think that old lung efficiency thing is back. Got 32 miles in anyway, but bah and buggery and arse.

Inky stump

Continuing today's theme of stumpy awesomeness (it wasn't until someone pointed it out to me that I even noticed that Qi Tang's one thigh is bigger than her head - I just know too many cyclists!), I stumbled on this guy via the Needled tat blog.  James Winterroth lost his right arm and got fed up with the stump looking pink and ugly, so he got a stump tat.  There's video of the process and a convention with the usual "gosh, wow" reportage over at the link.
