Haunted by Cowper Road
Sep. 28th, 2007 10:20 pmThe middle of Exeter was bombed flat in Baedeker Blitz raids of WW2; it was rebuilt nastily, and that nasty 1950s brick and concrete has just been flattened and replaced with the very bling Princesshay development. Many high-end shops to tempt the wealthy, and a Chandos Deli.
A Chandos Deli? As in Chandos Road, just up from Cowper Road? As in, "lets get nummy food from the deli just up the road to go with this awful movie which shall surely suck"? Apparently so. Their tentacles sprawl across the southwest in pursuit of me -- luckily, their tentacles are also delicious. I shall welcome them to town tomorrow!
