Two unrelated things.  First, did you know that there's a bike-specific render of OpenStreetMap for bikes, called OpenCycleMap?  Highlighted bike leisure routes, lowlighted motorways, and a bit of terrain so you know what to avoid.  Covers the world, though there's not much outside Scandi-Europe and eastern USA at present.

Second, how the bleeding hell can the Great West Run people justify £32 for a race plus a six pound "handling charge"?  That's doubled since last year.  Screw you guys, I'm racing somewhere else.  Any recommendations for another nice half-marathon?

Not that I'm afeared of hills, you understand, not me, oh no. But I wanna PB so a flat course would help. :)

Burnham and Cheddar both do HMs in the autumn which are flat and don't take the mickey on price. I'll be marshaling at the Cheddar one if that helps.

Looks like plenty of late-season ones to choose from, then. :)
