Of maps and money
Jan. 1st, 2009 11:05 pmTwo unrelated things. First, did you know that there's a bike-specific render of OpenStreetMap for bikes, called OpenCycleMap? Highlighted bike leisure routes, lowlighted motorways, and a bit of terrain so you know what to avoid. Covers the world, though there's not much outside Scandi-Europe and eastern USA at present.
Second, how the bleeding hell can the Great West Run people justify £32 for a race plus a six pound "handling charge"? That's doubled since last year. Screw you guys, I'm racing somewhere else. Any recommendations for another nice half-marathon?
