The race relations people have told the BNP to stop using weasel terms like "the Anglo-Saxon folk community" and the "Celtic / Norse folk community" in their membership rules.  Phrases like those are academically bogus and more importantly, are white-supremacist dog-whistle code for WHITE PEOPLE. 

Oddly enough, saying only white people can join breaches all sorts of race law. 

They're going to have an EGM.  They'll have to comply or they will go illegal, as I understand it.  This means either:

1: They'll comply, grumble, and then wheel out their token Member Of Albedo.  If this happens, I'd love to see some big funny important respected but not white zomg celebs join up and just turn the party into a laughing stock before hijacking it and closing it down.  

2: They'll go all martyr-whiney, schism, and the real hatebags will go underground, and we'll get the Real BNP.  Which will, at least, prove that they are the dirtbags we've been saying they are.

3. They change their laws to show they are an Inclusive Party, and enough people with brown and black skin join to call an EGM and change their constitution to something, well, different. That'd make me laugh, oh yes.

As an friend of mine (who was dux of her school) seriously stated:
"I can't be racist because I'm Maori" (identifies sort of with blacks). When asked to knock off the "pakeha* suck and are useless" comments she was making about once an hour.
(* read: white folk)

It had to be explained to her several times. She wouldn't believe any of the pakeha who told her that anyone could be racist and that it was about making rude race-orientated remarks and judgements. She said they were just being racists because they were pakeha's and calling her names. Eventually after a couple of Maori folk explained it she kind of believed them but said it don't count because she was just having fun (and her friends agreed with her that pakeha suck) so that meant she wan't racist and the comments weren't facist.

This was from the Dux, of a top area school.
The woman in question now works in the department of Maori Women's Affairs for the government....

Flipside is one of our local pagan bulletin boards has been revisited by a local Odinist. He was looking for support to March of Parliment to demand the right to put up temples and statues of Odin (and have many sunburst symbols). He was rather upset we didn't all jump in and demand our heritage and religous rights.

We had to point out to him he already had those rights, and many of us aren't of a directly Odin related heritage.

But what he really want is the government to pay for the temples and then people would be forced to worship and acknowledge "their" heritage.

I'm such people are truly sent for My Amusement.

"Going to have an EGM" is racist dog-whistle for "actually, we already gave an undertaking to the court that we'll change our constitution, but we're not telling the meedja we gave up that easily."

I'm srsly considering joining, rounding up enough people to vote me in, and standing for BNP president. I'd maintain some of their policies (St Georges Day as a holiday, and, er, that's it) and then focus on all the policies that truly define what it is to be British and why to celebrate it: those being tolerance, inclusivity, libertarianism, welfare state, etc etc etc.
