Electric Car Goodness
Aug. 2nd, 2006 10:13 amOh my giddy biscuits, I want one. And not just for the name, though "Tesla Roadster" makes the weird-science queen inside me curl up and giggle with zero-point delight. Look at it, it's yummy. And quick. It's as sexy as the Smart Roadster or a ruggedised Elise and it's got a halo because I get my power from windmills (uswitch.com, green tariffs, you've no excuse not to). This is cooler than chipfat. It's just as green, but this gets laid.

Date: 2006-08-02 11:29 am (UTC)The only downside I can see is that 250 mile range. Fine in most circumstances but not good if you have to do a long journey. I guess such journeys are infrequent enough that it would encourage you to use the train instead.

Date: 2006-08-02 03:01 pm (UTC)And, i'truth, the range would be a problem some days -- I've got a couple of friends that are far enough away that I couldn't quite make the round trip on one charge. And I don't know how long it takes to charge the bugger up, nor would I want to suck down that much of a friend's electricity during my visit to make sure I could get home.
Still and all, though -- what a pretty thing to zip around town in.
