I've had my offer on a flat accepted. I'll soon be the beleagured owner of my own bit of dirt. Gwarsh. Cheap as chips and solid but in need of a decorative touch. And some polyfilla. Space for the cat, and next door to the Chinese. No parking: big deal. With a scrap of north-facing inter-terrace garden and a lean-to shed (former bog) and everyfink.

I'm in serious shock. Things are moving too fast!
