Oh dear, my new toy arrived. This is the one time you'll see me looking coltish and gangly so laugh it up; before you know it I'll be vaulting cars and bounding like some parkour cyborg. Or, more likely, in Casualty having a shattered wrist pinned back together...

Besides telling you not to put things like that on, the ortho docs I worked for would tell you that if you must enjoy such dangerous toys, you should do your best NOT to try and catch yourself with your hands. Outstretched arms lead to nasty, double-bone fractures. ;)

Now, not being a doctor myself and having had a lot of stitches in my life, I'm incredibly jealous. Well, except that you found poo on the roof of the van, but even that has its own appeal.

(That would be proof positive of immediate need for a vacation.)

Those are so cool! How do you get off afterwards? Also, following on from n_decisive's comment, you might want to pick up some skate/snowboard wrist guards while you are learning.

Getting off wasn't too bad - I got back onto the van seat. There are tricks for getting up and down from the floor which will be useful soon!

Hey, last night I was walking around the flat in them with a feather duster, doing the cobwebs on the ceiling. Who says toys aren't practical?
