Brain in a jar!
Aug. 21st, 2007 09:30 pmAfter finding a perfect brain jar in Ikea ("I am Jack's Ikea brain jar" perhaps?) I couldn't resist:
Jar, brain and fluorescein. The brain is, of all things, a LARP throwing brain. Someone makes LARP throwing brains, professionally. I'm in the wrong job.

Fluorescein under black light gives the most wonderful swirls; the brain however was a touch buoyant and needed surgery to make it sink right. A few pennies pushed into the brainstem weighted it nicely and gives the finished dish a nice coppery tang:

Et voila! Ladies and gentlement, meet Bob:

Wires, a bubbler, and preposterous accessories may well follow... Full-size images if you so desire at my Flickr stream.
