Scary!

Have you done your 'overnight bike ride on a single gear bike' thing yet?

That's in three weeks time. This week it's the half-distance training (er, pub) ride. Then next week it's offroading on the fixed :)

Good luck with it!

I'm planning on dragging [livejournal.com profile] gedhrel out and making him buy a bike - though not a fixed gear one.

You can buy them online.... their own range of hybrids are pretty good. I got my little bike from there though and now wish it was just a bit bigger.

Ta for the link - though we're probably going to visit 'Bike' as it's easily accessible in lunch hour and lots of people have recommended it, including [livejournal.com profile] aldric.

Edinburgh Bike are good, though I wouldn't advise people to buy a bike without sitting on it, especially someone of nonstandard proportions :) Trek, Marin, Specialized are nice.

Aieee!

What's the design on the shirt, by the way?

Arrogant Bastard Ale - from a Yank microbrewery called Stone. It's got a bit of a cult following and apparently is a bit like Old Peculier or Black Sheep - which would startle the American palate.

Due to conjunction of mobile phone and thing on the wall behind it, I was convinced you were posing as the little-known superhero the Sellotapinator.

My officemate is asking in the nicest possible way if you're a Hells Angel.... personally I'm just startled at the blondness of your beard!

Blond, isn't it? Amazing what boredom and peroxide can do!

How long did you have to bleach it to get that colour? Didn't you go ginger the last time you tried :)

Powder bleach, 1h:15. Of course it hurt :)

I was going to say "no" but then a local bike shop phoned Sam and told her, "tell him to stop, he looks like Dr Zaius and he's scaring me" :)

Got to do my roots at the weekend though. Gods, what a chore!

Oh, so cool...
You look like a character sketch, what higher accolade could there be?
