Those are good rules. I'd been reading the thread and didn't think anyone had seriously overstepped the mark, but then it's your thread, not mine, so fair enough.
I just tested the disable comments feature and it does blank them all, which is possibly slightly broken in that it's not "locking" the thread, as such.
I think you need to freeze the comments thread using the ice cube icon rather than disable it if you want to keep the comments but lock them. More info somewhere on this page.
And, as he's pointed out, do you think he liked playing Wesley Crusher as a know-it-all, obnoxious prat? Of course not. Do you think the writers of Next Generation were at all concerned with the opinion of a 15-year-old kid? Of course not.
