If you're thinking of entering the London Tri, get your entries in fast - the regular slots are filling up fast.  I'm doing the Standard, age-group.  xeeny , you may now shake your head and sigh at my foolishness, but I just fancy a huge-numbers, high-profile mega-event to balance off the (wonderful) grass-roots stuff.  Plus I get crash-space with a cool lesbian who makes killer falafel. 

Nothing gets the heart fluttering like actual commitment.  :)

I have crash-space five minutes from a tube station, and yeah, I've got the logistics pretty much sorted now. Doesn't stop me going into a kit-panic every time, though (just like LRP!)...

Have you two settled on any races? Bath and Burnham, wasn't it?

Yup. And Forest of Dean half probably.

May well look at doing some off-road stuff / adventure races (perhaps) the Rat Race) as well.

UKMtbTri.co.uk will be putting on a four race off road triathlon series for 2009:

* 11th April 2009 - Ampleforth College: 500m, 15k, 5k
* 12th July 2009 - Coniston/Grizedale: 1500m, 30k, 10k
* 23rd August 2009 - Kielder Water and Forest Park: 1500m, 32k, 10k
* TBA September/October 2009 - Dalby North Yorkshire: 5k 30k 5k duathlon
