Xeeny has told me that you are now unrecognisable, but I find 20KG hard to believe...you never had enough to loose 20KG surely. I mean, a lot of lard will have gone to lean tissue which is heavier anyway, right?

Lard doesn't go to lean tissue. Even so, I've been doing pure cardio/endurance work all year - run/bike/swim - so there's nothing that would pile on any more lean tissue. I'll have lost lean mass as well as fat, in all honesty, but most of it will have been the muscular integuement used to carry my belly around - and I don't need that.
